TERMS & CONDITIONS FOR A 5-YEAR WARRANTY ON BATTERY AND CHARGER
Updated: March 1, 2025
PRIVATE USE
1. WARRANTY
Promovec A/S offers a 5-year warranty on batteries and chargers purchased after March 1, 2025, provided the battery is registered on Promovec’s website no later than 14 days after the purchase date.
If the battery or charger becomes defective within this period, Promovec will replace the defective part in the battery or charger.
The warranty covers all faults attributable to manufacturing or component defects under normal battery use.
The warranty does not cover normal aging and wear of the battery.
2. WARRANTY EXCLUSIONS
The warranty will be void if:
- The battery has been overheated, short-circuited, punctured, or otherwise misused.
- The battery has been dismantled or destroyed.
- The battery has been connected to or placed in an open fire.
- The battery has been submerged in water or any other liquid.
- The battery has been charged using chargers other than the provided one.
- The battery has been subject to unauthorized modifications.
- The battery is missing a receipt/purchase invoice and proof of battery registration.
3. 70% CAPACITY WARRANTY
The warranty ensures a minimum capacity of 70% for 5 years from the purchase date.
If a battery capacity test shows less than 70% capacity within the 5-year warranty period, Promovec is committed to repairing the battery to restore a minimum capacity of 70%.
4. BATTERY REGISTRATION WITHIN 14 DAYS
To be eligible for Promovec’s 5-year warranty, your battery must be registered via Promovec’s website no later than 14 days after the purchase date.
If you do not have an email address, the dealer can assist with battery registration and provide a copy. After registration, an email confirming the entered details will be sent. This email must be printed and kept as proof of registration.
5. WARRANTY CLAIMS
In the event of a warranty claim for the battery, you must contact the dealer where the battery/e-bike was purchased. If the dealer submits the battery to Promovec A/S for a warranty claim, the following must be included:
- Battery diagnostic report (if possible)
- Battery keys (without other keys and accessories)
- The corresponding charger
- A copy of the receipt/purchase invoice for the battery/e-bike
- A copy of the registration certificate (proof of battery registration)
Promovec A/S will inspect the battery for defects and perform a capacity test upon receipt. If Promovec A/S acknowledges the claim, troubleshooting and battery testing will be carried out free of charge, and Promovec A/S will cover the shipping costs for both sending and returning the battery and charger.
If Promovec A/S cannot identify any faults in the battery, or if the capacity test result is above 70%, the claim will not be approved. In this case, a diagnostic fee of 83,79 EUR (incl. VAT) will be charged for conducting the battery test. A test report will be provided as documentation upon return of the battery.
6. MINIMUM 3-YEAR WARRANTY
If the battery is not registered for the 5-year warranty, a minimum extended warranty of 3 years from the purchase date applies, provided a valid purchase receipt is presented.
BUSINESS USE
For business use, we offer a 3-year warranty on batteries and chargers purchased after March 1, 2025. Registration is not required.
